I am 'helping' my sister in law plan her wedding.
We've both decided it would be a good idea to pay a wedding planner..
Any recommendations, she's hoping to get married in Mullingar.
    Or any national 'planners'.
How much roughly does a decent one cost?!

    Thanks

The best in the business is Tara Fay, Xena Productions.

    Also,

Claire Barry from White Sage Events.

Kate Deegan from Co-ordination made easy.

    €2k for a wedding planner?

    And the rest!!!!!

You will get a wedding planner that will charge a fixed rate and then a planner that will charge less but put a percentage on top of all the suppliers.

Give Caterhire a call - they have a number of wedding planners who they deal with and could recommend one to you and give you an idea about cost

Hi Rustyzip, my wife is a wedding planner. Pricing really depends on what you are looking for but any good wedding planner should offer you a complimentary consultation that comes with no obligation to buy. Sometimes this consultation will give you and the wedding planner a great idea what you need them for and what aspects you can take out to save you money.

Wedding planners also have the advantage of dealing with other wedding businesses all the time so might even save you money in the long run. My wife can definitely recommend some of the wedding planners mentioned here. If you want her to contact you to offer some free advice, feel free to PM me :)
