Isolating a Radiator that is not in use.

I have a rad in a bedroom that we never use but the bleed valve head is damaged so rad can't be bled.

There is a trv on the rad with only a frost setting * and no shut off option.

To prevent any possible air problems from this rad in the future I'm thinking off shutting off both valves. (removing top of trv and fitting a cap) and shutting down the lockshield valve.

Is this ok (its virtually isolated as it is) and everything is working fine but I would prefer to isolate it completely.

Unless it's leaking it's enough to turn off one side

As said if you just shut down the Trv or Lockshield valve the flow will be stopped from entering the Rad. if you want to Blank off or remove the Rad then you will have to do it at the pipework feeding the Trv by using a 1/2 male blank. This is not really a diy job unless you know what your doing as the TRV fitting and Rad Valves are a different size and won't take a 3/4 Blank Cap. It also means you either have to drain down some of the system or work live. Which is always risky. Which can also lead to other problems. Or try using the Freeze Can system to freeze the pipework just before the fitting which gives you about 30 minutes to work on it.
