I hoping somebody might be able to help me identity what each of the cut offs valves are in my hot water press, there is also a pressure valve on one of the pipes and is currently reading 0.7 bar, I am not sure if this is correct, or how to adjust??

I live in two story home with water tank in attic, I believe my system is gravity fed.

Hi, Can't open any of the pictures.

Do you have gas central heating and is it set up in the hot press. In my house I have a pressure valve which shows the pressure for my gas central heating.

It is set to 1 bar.

If you do have gas and this kind if setup then, you can check on your gas boiler screen what the pressure is when cold and off. If it is 0.7 bar then you know that they are related. It says on my gas boiler that the pressure should be 1 bar when cold. As it rises to 1.4 or higher when on.

To put more water into your system there should be a small black valve like a butterfly valve which is in horizontal position (off). You turn this on until the pressure rises to 1 bar or what ever your boiler requires and then turn the valve back off again.

There is probably another two valves with the red wheel looking valve. These are for hot and cold water. One from the cold water storage tank and one from hot water cylinder. Mine are marked hot and cold with marker on the wall behind them. You should do this. When your hot water is hot then feel which pipe is hot and you will know that its the hot one the other will be the cold one.

Another valve with red wheel comes from the hot water cylinder. This is for balancing the central heating system.
