    hi all
we bought a corner tv stand (this model but got its from d2d furnitiure who now seem to be gone, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00E20X92A?keywords=tv%20corner%20unit&qid=1452979088&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1) a few years back and we were able to screw the base of the tv into it. now we have a toddler and we're just after getting a new larger tv but its on a stand (which can't be screwed) and it barely fits on it. the legs are literally at the edges of the top. so i'm wondering if the most practical option would be to get a local joiner to put a larger panel of wood on the top which would extend it by a few inches either side at the front and then cut it so the rest fits the unit?? is this something that a joiner would do?? and if so can anyone recommend someone in the south cork area??
    thanks!

If it sits on the unit at present why go to all that trouble ? Is it that you want to secure the TV to the stand so the toddler will not move it ? You could try a blob of hot melt glue as a temporary measure - it sticks to nearly everything.Any competent woodworker would however attach some extra 'wings' - he would need to find some matching wood.
