Upgrade sound system advice

Anybody got any recommendations for somewhere in Dublin that does good work on car sound systems?

I'm a total noob on this kind of stuff so will need to pay someone to do this for me, only just started driving and the sound system in the car is useless, can't handle any bass at all, once you turn it up at all the speakers are rattling. This is making long journeys a total pain as I cant have the tunes pumping to ease the boredom, so need to get it upgraded asap!

It's an '04 fiat punto (no sniggering :))

I understand that I need to get a subwoofer and amp fitted, and potentially new speakers, although i reckon once the sub is taking over the bass the existing ones will probably be fine.

Was wondering about the logistics of this as well, where would the new kit actually be put in the car? i do need to use the boot a lot, and the back seats fold down to increase the boot space which i do quite often to transport sports equipment, really need to keep this utility of the boot in the car.

Is it possible to add bluetooth or at least an auxiliary mini-jack input to these cars?

    Thanks

I would upgrade the front speakers first with a good set of components, as in mid range drivers in the doors and tweeters either in the stock location, dash or A pillers.

If you get an efficient set you could run them from your head unit and get quite satisfactory results or add an amplifier to improve their performance even more. Some sound mat in the doors will also make a massive difference. Once you have got this far then you could consider a subwoofer. If you put the subwoofer in first rather then upgrading the speakers you will end up with a system that just booms and will be very tiring to listen to.

Modern amps can be very compact so you could fit one under one of the front seats so that will not effect load space. A woofer can be mounted in a custom wheel arch enclosure for the same reasons. If just a standard woofer enclosure is used these can simply be unplugged and removed for those times you need maximum luggage space.

With regards to the aux input your simplest option would be to simply have a decent head unit with aux input or ipod control fitted.
