4G mobile bb signal interfering with FTA sky box

I have a sky box set up with FTA channels on a room. It's the old style white one.
It's connected to a magic eye on a second tv then on the other side the house.

Now since we got a new 4G Huawei mobile modem in the hallway it is interfering with the reception in the second tv. Giving all static lines and etc.
Turning off the router stops this.
Looks like it is interfering with the signal.
So I bought this after reading online, but only makes it worse.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CAM0E6Q/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_1ANMwb62D05W8

    Any ideas?

try changing the rf freqency the box comes out on and retune the box in the second room

    press services
    4,0,1 on remote
then option 4 i thibnk from memory

Just to add to Steveon's reply, 4G uses the old upper TV band (Uhf Chs. 61 - 69) where the RF2 outputs on many Sky receivers were tuned. Interference occurs when the local 4G transmitter uses frequencies on or nearby the RF2 frequency. If powerful enough the interference can still occur down into the current TV frequencies.

Test using UHF channels in the 20s or 30s.

I assume the 4G modem is receiving 4G frequencies not transmitting them. It should transmit wi-fi frequencies approx 2.4 or 5 GHz. If these are causing interference I would suggest the coax cable between the sky box and 2nd TV is poor quality or perhaps the plugs are not fitted properly.

WF100 cable and properly fitted plugs may help.

Uplinking (832-862 MHz) and downlinking (791-821 MHz) to/from the network via 4G frequencies.

OK, in that case the 4G filter should have helped, assuming it was fitted in the right place.

Easier to just change the output frequency. Btw where would you fit the filter?

In this case right on the input to the TV. If you fit it anywhere else any pickup on the cable will be after the filter.

OP says the filter made the received Sky RF output worse, so we'd have to assume the RF channel is currently in the range blocked by the filter, & needs to be changed too.

Not if it's blocking the wanted signal too.

I was waiting for him to work it out ;)

Sorry about the edit to my previous post, didn't notice there was another reply.

I had the filter between the cable and the TV, didn't work.
Then between the sky box and the TV, didn't work.
Tried all other rf ranges, no others worked, not even showing any picture.
Tried the above with and without the filter BTW.

Am considering trying the Sky+ HD box in the room and running the cable down to see does it make a difference.

    Thanks for the replies.

Don't forget you have to retune the TV to the new RF channel ...

Note to self, Tune tv after changing sky setting.

Eh, right, maybe just out of curiosity.

What 'other RF ranges' did you try? Which channel was the Sky box outputting on originally?

    I tried all ranges from 20 to 69. It's on 68 currently.
Itl have to wait as I am no longer there for a few weeks so I'll update this then with my findings.

Ok, 68 is in the modem's 4G uplinking-to- network range, that's the initial problem, co-channel interference.

When you were testing the lower frequencies did you test with the modem off?

I remember something from the Ofcom UK discussion documents on 4G interference at the time that a nearby 4G device, phone etc. could possibly cause interference across the UHF range if close enough to a receiver/TV etc.

Testing the lower frequencies with the modem off would be my next troubleshooting step. If that is the problem move the 4G modem to a different location within the house and test again.
