    Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some advice on a PC Specialist laptop. They seem to be amongst the best value out there for what I want and the ability to customise what I want is a big plus.

I'm looking for a 17" inch laptop and I've narrowed it down to either the Genesis V or the Cosmos IV models.

I want to get about 5/6 years out of this laptop and future proof it as much as I can. I won't be using it for gaming but it will be getting heavy use otherwise; occassionally from resource heavy applications.

I guess I have two questions:

    1. In order to future proof should I be choosing the largest SSD and the Kingston HyperX Ram etc.. now?

    2. The Genesis V only has the option of a Pentium Quad Core N3700 (4 x 1.6GHz, 2.GHz Turbo) whereas the Cosmos IV has the option of up to an i7 Quad 6700HQ (2.6GHz, 3.5GHz Turbo). Obviously the i7 is going to be better but would the Pentium be able to meet my needs?

Link for the base model Cosmos IV:

    Thanks!
