Size Small. I'm 5'7 or 170 cms and 31-32 waist. Height wise fine, but bate onto me (that's always my preference) Size guide in Gore link below.

These are ideal for the current wintery weather and seat insert is for medium to long spins.

Got these as a gift at Xmas and I really have enough gear so can't see these being used. Only tried on once, for size, and never worn out. I still have the labels.

Im 172cm height and found medium in Assos and Rapha are spot on. Is sizing for gore are more italian (needs sizing up) or just normal?

It's not size "up" if that's what you mean. Proper Euro sizing. EIDT- I should have said, I take a small in Assos Neo Pro thingys. So they'd probably be too small for you.

This evening is out and tbh the tolls alone wouldn't make it worthwhile @50.

Strangely enough I had intended heading North this weekend but that has been put back to next weekend... so if they haven't shifted by then maybe we could arrange something.
Either on the Saturday or Sunday Morning/evening depending on when I head up and if it suits you? I take it that it is the Applegreen closer to Dublin and not the Dundalk'ish one? Though I could do either if going North. How does 55e sound?
