    Hi Folks,

Can anyone recommend a PSA Certififed engineer to service an Astec house alarm in North West Dublin (D15)?

Definitely needs a new battery and maybe turn down sensitivity.

Ive found a list of contractors here - http://www.psa.gov.ie/en/PSA/Pages/registers but no idea of quality etc.

    Thanks in advance for assistance.

There's a sticky on top of the forum with installers that contribute in here.

Whats the problems you are having with it?
Beware of the ones who tell you they cant be repaired because they are obsolete. Many parts can be replaced somehow.

Thanks Fred Funk - I had seen the sticky... I was looking for specific recommendations, based on personal experience. But no bother, I'll call around.

Koolkid - I'd have to look again, but I started getting a low battery message and I believe now there is an error code "61 Engineer" popping up. It was also too sensitive where a strong wind would set it off... so just it desensitized.

    Cheers

Definitely needs a battery and probably a faulty sensor or contact. All easily available and can be replaced.

Eirtec serviced my Astec alarm recently. They're based on the south side but work all over Dublin. They're good to deal with.
