    Does anyone know much about how social housing groups like the one above. Is it pretty much the same as a council letting if you get a tenancy with them.

    Stricter with the private companies like Oaklee, Thuath Housing etc
    They take some people from the council lists but they also have their own waiting list and strict interview process.

    And in some cases it's mixed tenants social housing and standard leases .
    I heard some of the housing associations charge rent and a management / maintenance fee on top too towards the upkeep of common areas and grass cutting
