Same offer in Headford Road, Galway store. Poor enough selection of Blu Ray there but loads of DVD. Also, all PS4 and Xbox one games are 50-60% off. Fallout 4 for €32.50!!

I suppose that's why all the Xtra-Visions and HMVs are shutting down? Because everyone's still buying disc based media?

Yip. Own lots of DL content, but if it's a movie I really like the look of its got to be Blu-Ray. The compression used can make ****e of a good visual movie.

Knocklyon is shutting down, hence the sale.

Something to do with the fact you can buy the products they sell a lot cheaper elsewhere, maybe?

Just back from Douglas there got 20 blu rays for 20 euros delighted with myself with that. Then seen a game for 7.50 that looked to cheap to be ture so looked on the CEX website and found out they where giveing 20 euros cash for it. So made 12.50 profit on it ha ha.

So with the bus i spent 31.50 got 20 euros back in cex. so 20 blu rays and bus travel worked out 11.50 how bad. About 55c a film :O. The best bargain there was the hunger games catching fire part 1 what i got.

Must of the films where about a year old + but loads of bargains to be had thats for sure.

Anything that came out at Xmess on Blu ray was between 4 to 6 euros 2nd hand thats crazy cheap.

They then had a section with loads of stuff in the old style rentail boxes for 2 euros on blu ray stuff was very old in that area.

Games where fairly meh but good deals on anything that game out at xmess 30 euros or less for TOMB Raider, FIFA 16, Ass Creed the newestone, Pro 16 22 euros for that.

Then on the 360 and PS3 stuff there was some truely good deals there borderlands the Pre only 2 euros and the older games had like 70 or 80% off them.

Loads of like 3rd party batteries for the xbox one and the 360 controllers for 6 euros.

Box sets where only 20% not great. While the newer DVD and Blu rays 20%.

Worth a trip out if your in the city.

Picked up ten blurays about an hour ago and they hadn't much stock left in the ten for ten offer. Still deals to be had on new releases and the odd game.

Hilco, the owners of Xtravision, have only published the names of the Northern Irish stores closing.

The 26 RoI stores closing include Arklow, Wicklow, Gorey, Skerries and Galway. More here

HMV Grafton St are selling off a bunch of ex-rentals in the plain Redbox cases. I was there last week. 10 DVDs for €3, and a separate smaller section of DVDs in their original cases that were 5 for €1.

I got a few, incl. Horrible Bosses 2, Transcendence, A Most Violent Year that are fairly new. Well worth 30c each. They had some Blurays at €3 each, all in their cases, may be cheaper now
