Making your own mineral makeup

Browsing a few blogs and came across a recipe to make your own mineral makeup and I'm so curious to try it.

Initial outlay of ingredients would work out at around €70 but when you think you'd spend that on a few pots of Bare Minerals, this would literally last you ages.

Has anyone ever tried it and would you recommend? Or is the recipe missing something vital that's in the commercial products?

Thanks for sharing this information I am presuming you will be able to purchase ingredients also on Amazon.co.uk which should make it cheaper maybe??? It is very interesting and I am definitely going to be looking into it soon. I already make my own body, hand & feet cream so why not mineral makeup.

Mineral makeup is becoming more popular as more women learn about safe cosmetics and about the importance of using non toxic products on their skin. Since our bodies absorb anything we apply to our bodies or our face, it is wise to make safer choices.

I think going down the route of buying minimum amounts via Amazon might be the way to go. I will see how my basket works out and list here for you to compare, might take a few days as I have a couple of projects I still have to complete first - this sounds really great.
