Did you know that you can make payments through our automated payment system on our phone line?

    It only takes five steps:

    1) Call us on 1890 448 448. Our billing lines are open from 8am until 8pm, Monday to Friday and from 9am until 5.30pm each Saturday. However, payments can be made through our automated phone system 24 hours a day, so there is always a time to suit you.
    2) You will be prompted to enter your Account Number and WPRN. These can be found on the top right-hand corner of your Irish Water bill.
    3) Select Option 1 to go to our payment section to pay your Irish Water bill. You will be provided with the current balance on your Irish Water Account.
    4) Choose Option 1 again, and you will be prompted to enter the amount you would like to pay and provided with a list of payment options to best suit your needs. You will then be prompted to enter payment details.
    5) Confirm your payment.

And that’s it. Your payment is now complete.

There are also a number of quick and easy payment options available, so you can choose the method that best suits you.

    They include:

    1. Direct Debit

Direct Debit is a simple and convenient way to pay your quarterly Irish Water Bills. You can sign up for Direct Debit through your My Water online account here

You can also download our Direct Debit Mandate form here and return it to us at
    Irish Water
    PO Box 860
    South City Delivery Office
    Cork City
    Ireland

    2. Online Banking

You can pay your Irish Water bill through Online Banking.

You will need the Irish Water International Bank Account Number and Bank Identifier Code:

    IBAN: IE29 AIBK 9333 8464 3085 94
    BIC: AIBKIE2D

When asked for the Reference, please use your 10-Digit Irish Water Account, located on your bill, when making the payment.

    3. Debit or Credit Card

You can call us on 1890 448 448 and pay your Irish Water bill through the Automated Payment service or by speaking to a member of our team. You can also pay by credit or debit card through a MyWater online account.

You can sign up for MyWater here.

We cannot take payment from American Express or Maestro cards, but will accept payment from all other Credit and Debit Cards through the method you find most convenient.

You will need your Irish Water Account Number and WPRN, which can be found on the top right hand corner of your bill, and may be asked for your CVV security number, found on the back of your card, when making a payment.

When making a card payment, please ensure that you are entering the decimal point in the correct place to ensure you are charged accurately.

    4. Through your Irish Water Online Account

You can also pay your Irish Water account through your MyWater Online Account conveniently and quickly.
A MyWater Account allows you to view and pay your water services bills, sign up for paperless billing and even sign up for direct debit if that is your preferred option.

Once you log in to your MyWater account, you will be shown your balance and given the option to pay your balance.

    5. MyBills.ie

You can pay through An Post's free online service at www.mybills.ie using your debit card.

    6. Cheque

You can post a cheque, together with a completed payment slip, which should be attached to the bill, to:
    Irish Water
    PO Box 860
     South City Delivery Office
     Cork City
     Ireland.

We recommend you do not send cash by post.

    7. Cash

You can pay your bill using cash at any retail outlet where you see the PayPoint, Payzone and PostPoint signs or at any Post Office.
At these outlets, you can pay your bill in full or make a part payment of a minimum value of €5.
All you need is your Irish Water Bill, which has a bar code on the bottom on the page, so you can pay your Irish Water bill easily.

Absolutely. Irish Water are completely committed to working with customers who may be experiencing difficulties paying their water bill.

We have a number of payment options which customers may be interested in, that can be tailored to best suit their needs.

If a customer wishes to make their payments more manageable, they may be interested in setting up Monthly Pay which breaks your bill into smaller amounts to make payments easier.

Alternatively, they can set up a payment plan, where bills can be paid off in weekly installments through a method that best suits the customer's needs.

You can call us on 1890 448 448, where a member of our team will be more than happy to help you discover what payment option is most convenient for you.

You can also find a full list of our payment options here.

I hope you found this information helpful.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead
