Hi, just looking for a bit of advice on venues for the day after our wedding. We are getting married in Finnstown Castle Hotel on July 1st. We will not be having the day after there as there is another wedding on that day and it would be a bit cramped in the bar downstairs after.

Hence my question...we are looking for a place to go for a good aul session and possibly a sing song later on in the vicinity of Finnstown so Lucan area. Any good pubs etc you could recommend...knowing the crowd that will be attending it will be a good session and hopefully some good quarter final match of the euros that evening!

    any help greatly appreciated!:D

The lord mayors is across the road from finnstown.
The Penny hill 5 minutes up the road.
The courtyard is in liexlip village.

All have live music, ring them all that week and see who they have on your night and make your mind up then.

Another place would be the Anglers Rest in Chapelizod. Nice food there too and usually music. I know they put on BBQ's as well as a wedding I photographed in Finnstown last year had one there the following day.
