What would be the quickest and easiest way,
'd be arriving at 9 or 10 am midweek.

Easiest option would be to exit the station from the main entrance, turn right, walk up Dr Steeven's Lane and turn left onto James' Street and take the 123 bus from the bus stop on the far side of the road. It will leave you beside the hospital on Errigal Road.

Fare will be €2.70 cash and €2.05 on LEAP.

Trip should take 30 mins approximately.

Ask the driver to tell you where the return stop is (it's not on Errigal Road).

NB : A taxi from heuston rank will need to go a long way around due to the vagaries of the traffic flow.

LUAS to Drimnagh and 10-15 mins walk might work too

Or the luas from outside the station, get off at Drimnagh stop, and it's a walk (signposted across the road) through housing to the hospital.

Not sure which walk would be shorter tbh (doubt there's much in it), but I'd imagine the luas journey would be quicker.

Much shorter walk with the bus option.

Both options take the same length of time, but in view of the shorter walk, the bus would be easier.

Short walk but up a hill. We opt for LUAS and walk from drimngh stop if we are using public transport.

Hardly the most difficult street to walk along, it's not exactly steep.

If you've a young kid with health problems or a buggy or wheelchair it can be difficult.
