It's no real price but Boxing Shadows "should" win the 4.00 Lingfield imo

Im also waiting on Doctor Parkes to win again, 5f his preferred trip but today is out at 6f again. I'll chance it again. 2.00 Lingfield

Looking at Marise here in the 7.30 @ Dundalk. Has a great chance and looks like there's money for it with it being backed into 5/2 from 5/1. My only bet for the day.

Chatting to a woman who knows her racing here in the bar. She got a call yesterday about General Bunching in the 6.30 @ Dundalk. Now by the looks of things it hasn't a hope, but stranger things have happened so I'm going with a small e/w bet and hoping for the best.

I'll let you know how I get on :/

Didn't disgrace itself, but where does a horse like that go from? At the lowest mark possible, not even close in winning in years, might have a better chance over in England.

Maontri, winner off 79 and 83 only a year ago now down to a mark of 77 but a 7lb claimer on board. Well entitled to beat any of these today and a nice e/w price at 10/1.

Lady Manderville looks a huge price at 140 on the machine. Cant let that go for a 4 Year old who has won off 64 and races off 47 today. Probably not off a yard but would kick myself if it won. .5pt win

Could've won with a better ride, hard to get the balance right between getting the few lb and getting a good pilot. You got your place anyway that's the main thing.

    Your totally wrong IMO
I backed it as well but if you know anything about that horse that is exactly how it must be ridden and produced.

Are u winding me up? 2 out the horse wanted to kick on and he kept pulling it back? He would of won by a few lengths and that was even after pulling for most of the race. Not once did he show the horse the whip. A disgraceful ride, worst ive seen in a long time.

He looked an incredibly tricky customer, needs cover until the bitter end and just didn't have the toe to get there when he was finally produced. If you were implying this was some kind of handicap plot job i don't think that was the game here, just a cantankerous sort

No the horse was out to win. Just a shocking ride. Even Murtagh said it himself.

Think this is almost animal cruelty towards Sharjah at this stage.

Ah lads stop backing horses if you think the ride on Duchess of Marmite was bad. Horse is a complete and utter dog, check her second last run, came swinging and as soon as he got his nose in front she down tools, luckily enough Kelly had enough time to cod the horse that day and take a bit of a pull and sat a neck behind her opponent and just got it up on the line.
The horse doesn't respond to the whip so no point flogging it for the craic of it just so mug punters can say ah jaysus sure he battered the horse at least he tried  She came there with every chance and was kidded into the race as she always is and might've even got her nose in front at one stage, anybody backing the horse should've known she wasn't odds on for a reason as on ability she should've been shorter but she's a complete and utter monkey.

Was too late, but very telling that Robbie Downey took this ride despite riding Hello Humpfrey last time out.

So you're saying that Kelly went too soon, the horse downed tools as expected and got beat - jockey error right?

Perhaps you're right in this instance. I have not followed the horse - but Shane Kelly has been at this hold up crap, getting horses beaten for far too long.

When Johnny Murtagh says its a bad ride, its a bad ride.

10-20 yards from the line aint too soon to my eyes,at that speed it's almost impossible to judge it to the exact yard so generally coming upsides anywhere in the last half furlong i would find acceptable on a horse like that after that it's pretty much pure luck as to whether the horse will go through with it.
Unfortunately for punters today the horse didn't and that's the beauty of racing but some of the suggestions ive read elsewhere in particular(i probably used my frustration from comments elsewhere in my previous post,my apologies) that suggested Hughes and Kelly purposely got the horse beat and crooked Bar stewards etc. should in all seriousness consider never backing a horse again,if they're going to lay a horse you don't let it get that close, especially someone like Kelly who's well able to stop one when he wants.

You know nothing about this horse from what you've said, I have watched her previous 4 runs and that is how the horse is always ridden,Hughes would be happy with that ride, just didn't work out
