Anyone else afraid of these things? Going for a blood test on 1st Feb and I'm quite nervous I just hate the site or them and blood any tips to stay calm, I've gotten plenty and I do be grand but I just hate that panicky feeling weak feeling more than anything, also I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, could I get blood poisoning from this ? Thanks guys

There's some really good advice on needle phobia here
Personally, I always look the other way and try to focus on something else. Usually with a good phlebotomist you hardly feel a thing and it's over before you know it.
Hope it all goes well for you :)
