My better half has an 08 of that model, around the same mileage, I went over to the UK and brought it back for her. Her one is the 2.0 CDTI model. Overall there a good car for the money, the back end is a little light with all the weight being on the front from what I can feel,

There fairly well spec,d for the money and the 1.6 engine gives good power and mpg. Plenty of room in the front and back and a fairly decent booth, we've had it two years now with only a shock that had to be changed so hopefully we get a few more years of trouble free motoring.

what does the 90/116 refer too, just different models? is one better than the other?

It's the horsepower. More is better! The 116 makes the car much nicer (based on having its sister car the Hyundai i30 with that engine in the family)

It's usually written on a sticker near the drivers door hinge AFAIK.

They had a face lift in 2009, thats pre face lift version so probably late registra tion. Facelift improved interior.
Have a 2008 estate version in the family 5 years, very reliable car

Solid car, engine and suspension good, check for crunchy gearbox and failing power steering/column by turning the steering wheel left and right quickly. If you hear any clicking, thumping then walk away.

I have traded in a 10 Kia Ceed 1.6 Diesel. I would have loved to have kept it but the temptation of another 7 year warranty on a new Ceed was too much.
Its a good solid car and never had a single problem except the car keys broke twice. Its a family workhorse of a car, it gets thing done and is reliable. People like their fancy cars but I love practicality and the Ceed has it in spades!
Im picking up the new 1L Ceed 2016 next week and cant wait!
