Digiweb VDSL

    Hi,

Has anyone here got Digiweb VDSL currently if so I want to find out if your getting the same issues as me.

My profile is set to 100/20 and usually the first sync is around 93 to 95 / 20

It then gradually decreases over a day down to say 70/20 and sometimes hops back up to 85/20 etc

Is this normal behaviour ? as talking to Digiweb support is pointless as they are clueless to how to resolve this or even acknowledge if this is normal behaviour, my neighbour also gets the exact same issues and is also with digiweb.

Does anyone get this regularly on any type of VDSL or provider ?

If anyone can suggest a stable and reasonably priced VDSL provider I would greatly appreciate it.

They should have set you to 90_20 to start with. Was this tried?

Yep I had various different profile changes but the same type of behaviour and also my neighbour got the same experience.

Eircom checked the line and the cabinet and found no issues.

Rarely would I sync at 100/20 but if I did would be only for an hour or so.

On ADSL had a sliding profile so basically each resync would change the speed and was generally say at 10/1 pretty much all the time.

I am just curious if this is a digiweb issue (I have changed the VDSL routers aswell) or does it happen with all ISP's

We have FFTH (Siro) enabled in the area but not willing to pull the trigger on it due to the very high monthly cost currently.

Are you still in Bay Estate or did you move to the Point Road? Just wondering cause I didn't think Bay Estate was Siro enabled yet.

Bay estate mate, I talked to Vodafone and they said it was "enabled" but have not seen any work here but have on the red barns road

Yeah I didn't think they had done any work in the Estate at all. They have the Haggardstown side of the Mullagharlin road done with the cabling but they have yet to come back and finish it. Hoping it won't be too much longer on my 2.5 line.

The parents in law live in the Meadows on the point road and got it in before Xmas.

Nothing on the physical layer has anything to do with Digiweb except the modem. Assuming they don't have a design flaw in their modems this is an eir issue.

Most likely theirs moisture or rodents disturbing the line. Keep pestering Digiweb to pester eir to get this really sorted.
