    Hi peeps...just wondering is possible to find anywhere a wasted trafo oil?!?!?

    Electric motor rewinds companies might be worth a try. Old oil cooled welders would have this oil in the tank. Shell Oil sold trafo oil under the name Diala.
    The ESB would use it in transformers and Circuit Breakers but it wouldnt be changed very often or unless it failed a dielectric test.
    Not the nicest stuff to be handling. Plenty toxins and carcinogens.

    I'm intrigued as to why anyone would want this, as another poster mentioned, it's nasty stuff, and I wouldn't want to think someone was burning it as fuel for whatever purpose which is the only use I can think of.

    There is safer alternatives TBH no matter how good it might appear to be it will get into drinking water and do all kind of nasty things.
