Had the car (00 Avensis 1.6) serviced recently. Told one of the shocks is leaking though both sides are withing balance limits etc. Actually never replaced them in 204k of driving. NCT fail? Approx repair cost?? Fastfit or the like? Appreciate views.

Best to change both at the same time, shocks are about 60 euro ea and fairly simple to fit.
I'd use a good indy garage not fastfit.

It's not very expensive and must be done to pass nct.
    Change both.
Get quotes from a few local mechs.
