Freesat box recommendations, 1 main tv, 3 other rooms

Ok, so I've just cabled 4 rooms up to a FTA satellite and a Saorview aerial

2 rooms I can run Freesat+ and Saorview and the other 2 rooms will only be able for Freesat and Saorview. Makes sense?

I'll probably only have the one main room running a Freesat+ box but the option is there to upgrade the other(s) in the future.

Is the Humax HDR-1100S the box to go for for the main room for freesat+?

Any other cheaper options for the other rooms? 2 bedrooms and 1 kitchen tv.

The Freetime feature would be nice especially in the bedroom.

The Humax boxes come highly recommended, the Manhattan Plaza HDR-S also gets good reviews.

I have a humax hdr 1010s in the main tv room

and a manhattan hd s2 in a second room

I would recommend both boxes highly

I've had the 1TB version of the 1100s for 3 months now. It's expensive to buy upfront but overall I have been impressed. Had to factory reset it once but it keeps the recordings and only wipes the planned/schedule. The interface isn't as slick as Sky's but it still works well. There is an app for Freesat as well which is very handy, esp on a tablet. I use it on my phone to remotely set recordings. Works well. Also if you use a SmartDNS service all the on demand stuff works.

I like the look of the s2 for the other rooms. Cheapish and seems to be quite responsive.

These are great value but the problem is when the frequencies change they don't update automatically like a Freesat box and so are a pain in the hole for people who don't know how to change them and if you are in any way involved in the selection process for them buying one you will have them calling you every few days wrecking your head

Been living with the Manhattan Plaza HD-S2 for the past few days in the kitchen and I quite like it for a basic receiver. No record etc but I don't need it there. Very happy with it for 50 bucks.
