I am left with and using a basic ford spare key no key fob just a bare key and having to open the doors manually using it is wrecking my head!

I have a spare focus key fob with central locking buttons and was wondering is there a way to transfer the key part and maybe use the focus fob to work the central locking in the connect or maybe theres a better way?

Swap the chip over to the focus fob and programme like so...

    Hope it helps.

Try to program the Focus fob.

Put in your basic key into ignition.
Switch ignition from OFF to ON 8 times within 10 seconds and make sure ignition remains ON on the 8th time.
    Programming mode will be activated
Within 20 seconds press and release any button on the Focus fob
    Switch ignition OFF

Check that the Focus fob works for central locking. Not sure if you can get the key part replaced though. You will need to program the key to the immobiliser if you want to use it to start the car after cutting it. Central locking should work with above instructions hopefully...
