    Hello guys,

I just would like to share experience with you and get opinions and experiences from other users. I bought Edge plus from someone unlocked and sealed all cool. The phone is beast really awesome for me the best but, horrible thing I notice and I have been looking for that problem for a while. I notice the battery drains like a rocket so definitely I did make sure of turning off Wifi settings etc Network settings etc removed unnecessary app also I did make sure no apps running on the background while not in use ( believe me I did all things were written on the internet how people recommend ) still the battery lives for 12h which is 100% crap, if u r not using the phone why the battery drains like a rocket compared to Iphone 6 plus 》100% charged left no use nothing running after 8hrs sleep took a look found 2 3 % down only which is what suppose to be. So I charged my phone 100% at night, I made sure everything is closed nothing running, got up after 8hrs found 70% ( OH DEAR 30% with no use ) OH SOMETHING WRONG ( Notice I did have power save battery on which found on the menu slide which optimize app auto) next day I said alright I will try ULTRA POWER SAVE believe it or not from 100% comes to 80% STILL WEIRD >>>. I read that most of saying Marshmallow will sort that out the battery problem.

Any suggestions what should I do ?

Is it the phone or an app?
You never told us what happens when you leave the phone in safe mode for a day! That is always the FIRST test you do when you have such doubts.

If battery continues to discharge at same rate, it's the phone. That is the only sure way of telling if the problem is the phone.

I am taking about the phone not an app. Since I bought the phone I have power safe mode on to see how long the battery takes which I explained earlier.

So losing battery time to time use without gaming or heavy duties max 12 hrs.....

There's something wrong with your battery or there's an app eating it. Install battery doctor and have a look at what app is using the most power. I charge mine every night and if i haven't been using it too heavily I'll have at least 65-70% left at night (14 or 15 hours after last charge)

OH then I am certain that my phone is f up. I will have a try battery doctor but if nothing. You suggest me change the mainboard or battery or both ?

If ghe phone itself is the problem then you should bring it back to where you bought it

For me the phone is normal all the problem I have got is Battery drains very quickly which was weird. I don't know if the phone is the problem or not. Unfortunately it was bought from someone (sealed) so i can't do anything with it.

I will charge it now 100% optimize by batter doctor and leave it with no use to see if the problem remain.

I think it remains I may change the mainboard here it wouldn't bother it is original part comes from Samsung so why not give it a try....

For me samsung dropped the ball, with the 2600mah battery on the 5.1 inch galaxy s6 and the 3000mah on the 5.7 inch galaxy s6 edge+ and note 5. and certainly got a lot of complaints for it

Certainly they already upped their game on their alpha range for 2016 with a biggish upgrade on battery life over their 2015 range. The a5 went up from 2300mah to 2900mah for its 5.2 inch screen. The a7 went up from 2700mah to 3300mah for its 5.5 inch screen. Add to that that both of them use more efficent processors exynos and they are using FHD screens compared to the QHD screens the S range use.

There are certainly reports around that the s7 range will up its game with a 3000mah battery for the S7 and a 3500-3600mah battery for the bigger S7 Edge plus. We'll find out soon enough.

Back to op there seems to be stories around from users where the battery is draining fast due to the android system. Do a google for them "Galaxy s6 edge plus battery drain" it might help.

No, you did not explain earlier. You said you had "power save on" - this is NOT similar to "safe mode".
But, I can't be bothered helping any further if you can't be bothered to research the difference!

Sorry mate I didn't mean to not bother .. I mixed up things.. I meant power safe on which normally found on slide menu that optimize app to keep battery longer life ... So I hope you got me now
