I lodged a complaint my speeds were so slow during the evening

    1 meg from 6 to 12 o clock. I should be receiving 5 to 6 meg

I phoned them in early October when i complained. and they said, there was a fault at the exchange and i would have to wait till its fixed and my line is upgraded to Efibre. No timeline given when it be fixed.

Its January 2016 and my line still not fixed.

Does anyone else thing Eircom have too much power over broadband in Ireland?

I just have to sit and wait till they decide to fix it, this is crazy stuff.

COMREG will force them to fix a fault. They won't force them to fix congestion. Maybe they should, but thats up to COMREG and the DECNR/Minister.

Complained to Comreg two months ago, useless they are too. Other internet providers companies have filed a complaint against Eircom, found this online. Four months for me still not fixed

There are rural exchanges congested for several years (and getting worse all that time) still not upgraded. With NGA 95% will be eventually, but 4 months is a blink of an eye when it comes to infrastructure.

That link is irrelevant to your problem as its not a fault, its capacity. Same reason why COMREG wont force them.
