I had a fox den dug out in Spring (vixen + 5 cubs). It was reoccupied shortly afterwards.

Is this some kind of twang on the English language that only fox people understand?

Just make sure and fill back in the holes you dig and fox's will use it again. I've seen earth's with holes left open and fox's never came back to it.

Normally when a Fox is shot and taken from his territory it'll be taken over by another Fox within a few days so it'll be occupied by another Fox if the original doesn't return but foxes have other earths as back ups aswell

An anti lurking around the forums. Lol cheers lads. Found a few earths and one was dug a few months ago but covered in. I will be glassing/watching these earths over the latchtion period and see what earths are occupied and take out the occupiers in a humane way to try and introduce better numbers of pheasant and other wildlife as this particular spot has very few birds due to the foxes maybe one or two.

I googled "glassing a fox den" and all i found were stories about hair salons and images of people having been glassed on a night out

Was interested in seeing a glassed fox den.

In hunting termonolgy glassing means using binoculars.

And there was me imagining a hole dug above the den with some glass laid in, secured and then covered with some tarp for later viewing into the den
