    Hello Forum.

Apologie if this is in the wrong place.

I'm replacing a 10 year old boiler at the moment have quotes in from a couple of suppliers/fitters.

At the moment it's a choice between a Baxi Solo with 5 years warranty and an Ideal Logic with a similar warranty.

Cost to fit, flush system etc is similar.

I'm looking for reviews/thought on the two models in order to make some kind of informed choice. I've googled and found some negative reviews of Ideal Boilers but not sure if they are current.

    Thanks :)

I'm not a fan of the new baxis.

Ideal are reliable but basic. Out of the two I'd go ideal

Pretty poor boilers in general. I'd question the installer if they're using such poor quality boilers.
How much were you quoted? Were they quoting for a chemical flush or a proper powerflush? Were they including a magnetic filter?

I'm in the same position as the OP. What features should I ask for the the Ideal doesn't have? What brands/models do you recommend?

    Thanks.

Ariston, viessmann, Worcester Bosch. Valliant aren't bad either. The more controls you use with these boilers, the better they work

    What about Glow Worm?

Is there much difference in price between all these?

    Thanks!
