Have good few singles loosing condition, (not great silage silage i think) i am afraid to start feeding them too early as lambs will end up very big ( specially later ones).. Same time dont want them to end up too thin..
Mayb feeding them lower protein ration might work (like rolled barley or oats)? Or mayb doesnt make difference..,
    Lambing end of february,.

a bit of oats would do the trick without making the lambs too big

Approx. how long from lambing would ye start feeding nuts to ewes carrying twins and singles ? Ewes currently on grass.
I'm already giving nuts to the triplets.

6 weeks for me. Start off 0.1kg per head per day and build up to 0.5

Would the singles get too big?

Sorry I dint see the heading that they were singles only. I would feed the singles up to 0.5 but they are only on hay and are outside so don't find them too big. Mix ration with oats which gives the ewe energy but stops the lambs growing too big
