Lively old man pubs in Offaly for a Saturday session?

Hi there, myself and a group of friends are planning an old man pub tour of Offaly at the end of February. We hope to hire a bus from Tullamore and spend the afternoon going to a few rural pubs, farthest probably 40 mins drive away. We would love to visit completely random pubs that might have a bit of atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon/evening, maybe even a trad session if we're lucky.
Any suggestions on where we could invade?
    Any help much appreciated
    :)

Joe Lee's in Tullamore is a good place to start, Dan & Molly's in Ballyboy is always a good spot to visit, Kileens Pub in Shannonbridge is renowned for its atmosphere and good pints (hopefully not damaged from flooding) and down the road in banagher, there are a few good pubs Hough's or Lyons worth looking up. Mary Hickey's in Clonaslee is a real old man's pub, The Blue Ball Pub is good on a saturday night. Tom Flynn Coach Hire (not related) is local and will know the right pubs.

Houghs in Banagher definitely fits your description, old man pub and plenty of music.
