    Hi folks,

Just wondering if anybody has experience with the UX1/UX2 interfaces.

I'm putting together a little practice rig for home (building a kit guitar to play after years of not having an electric) and was weighing up playing through one of these types of interfaces along with Pod Farm/Vox JamvoxIII or something similar as opposed to an amplifier.
Would be mostly playing through headphones as my daughter would usually be in bed by the time I get to play, but would have a decent set of speakers for the pc/laptop as well.

Any opinions on these as in theory it looks to be exactly along the lines of what I'd be using it for!

    Cheers,
    B

They're fine devices. Nothing amazing, but should do exactly what you want. Another option (if you have an iPod/iPad) could be Amplitube and one of their hardware adapters.

Cheers.....looks like it'll do me nicely alright - not a great player by any stretch of the imagination, but enjoy playing along to whatever is taking my fancy at a particular moment in time.

The option to record over backing tracks etc looks like a nice little feature that I could take advantage of too down the line.

I'm really liking the idea of being able to strip guitar parts from songs using the Jamvox s/w. Combination of a few different parts could be the way forward!

Will have to be pc based.

It'll suit you for that so. I've been using a Mbox2 with Guitar Rig 5 and Spotify/Guitar Pro for learning and jamming along with bass tracks recently. Works fantastically, and it doesn't annoy my housemates with repetitive riffs.
