    Hi,
Considering moving from UPC to Eir for complete bundle but my dumb question is related to the TV ... currently the UPC input point is in the corner of the sitting room .. conveniently next to TV... while the phone line input to the house is in the hall.
Presumably If i move to Eir the TV signal needs be routed from the phone line input point to the TV location.... running a cable is not really ideal.. are there any other options..

    Thanks

As I understand it they use Homeplugs (power line networking) to avoid the need to run cables. Someone who already has Eir Vision might be more able to describe what the exact set up is.

It would be a very common problem - until the mid-1990s at least the telephone socket was almost always placed in the hallway.

They supply homeplugs. Most UPC points are in the sittingroom and most Eir points are in hallways.

I would recommend test driving the eir tv box to in a meteor/eir shop before committing.

As is said above, they use home plugs to transmit the signal to the living room, so it shouldn't be an issue cabling-wise.
