    Hi folks,

I've an xperia M2 (1.5 years old) - it has two issues. The bigger one being the usb charger port seems broken. Any time I go to charge the phone it flicks on and off. It's not the cable as I've tried several cables\chargers. Second one not so big but since the 5.1.1 upgrade on my phone it takes 5-7 seconds for contacts to load :(

Question is, should I bother to get this fix? How much roughly do these things cost? Secondly what is a good android to get these days around the 150-200 mark (ready to go price, not bill pay price).

I was looking at the moto 3rd gen model. Is there anything that could beat that for that price?

    Many thanks!
    Nalz

You could try one of these, its an inexpensive way of not having to plug in a cable all the time on a strained port

Also in terms of the Moto G range, Ive always been a big fan of them having had last 2 Gens. Its a solid device and you wont be disappointed with the 3rd Gen. Top value for money. They just Work.

The only phones I've come across that can challenge the Moto G value for money are Chinese or possibly the Vodafone Ultra 6, I haven't used one but it looks great.

Does the M2 support a QI charging plate?

My screen is slightly cracked and the contacts "issue" is really annoying.

I'll buy the new Moto G so :D

Doesnt support Qi, and even it did its slower which can be a pain.

Repair will be expensive as it involves a heat gun, pliers and really fiddly solder job. Micro USB is a really crappy connector, its only rated for ~500 plug/unplugs which isnt enough for a modern phone. Roll on USB-C handsets.
