I broke my af9015 based stick and I'm finding my em28xx (Pinnacle Hybrid Pro) is being detected but won't find any channels and my rt2832 sticks aren't being detected at all.

Can anyone recommend a USB DVB-T stick that will play ball with OpenVIX? The receiver is a Vu+ Duo original.

Look for a Sony PlayTV in a game shop or one of the Cex shops - should cost about €25
Its actually a dual tuner so works perfectly with the 2 muxes on Saorview.
Just need a usb to mini-usb cable to connect it to duo

I've been using a Hauppauge Nova-T stick for years.

Initially, it was quite unreliable though, but with later versions of VIX and my additon of a powered USB hub for it, it's been quite stable in a long time.

I have a PlayTV and I wanted to use it with my GI Xpeed LX2 running the latest Openvix but it seems that it is not supported and there might be an issue with the actual Hardware support and not necessarily Openvix or the PlayTV.

My rt2832 usb stick works but is a little slow so was looking to upgrade to the dual playtv tuner.

So my advice would be to actually get a usb tuner that has been confirmed as working 100% with your sat receiver before purchasing.

I've googled and the PlayTV+Vu Duo combination seems to work, as does PlayTV+OpenVIX, so I'd say the omens are good. Unfortunately I didn't think of CEX in time and bought one on ebay (€20 delivered, so almost the same as CEX (€18)).

Happy to report that the PlayTV works perfectly with OpenVIX. A little slow changing channels compared to the Afatech, but two tuners for less than €20 are worth the trade-off.

Pick up a dvb-t usb tuner from freesat.ie 25 euro a few weeks ago at first there was a problem with the sound not working right this
    was a problem with image drivers vu+ not the [ usb drivers it913x {1.0-r2}

But since xmas drivers release from vu+ onwards the sound problem has been fix tested on openvix /openatv /blackhole /

If you have one these check again see if the problem has been fixed before you spend more money .

    tested on
    solo2
    solo 4k
    vu zero

what driver did you use to get it to recognise the tuner?

sorry, im unsure if you are suggesting using the " it913x {1.0-r2}" usb drivers or your saying they are bad.
