Hello, I hope I posted this in the right thread.

I worked two jobs last year, one earned only a couple 100 and the other one is a couple of thousands. When I go to claim my tax back should I wait till I receive both the p60 forms and do it together? Also has anyone everyone had issues with claiming tax back and working two jobs at the same time?

If you have worked multiple jobs your tax is more likely to be wrongly calculated which means a refund or a liability is likely to be due.

Wait till you have a P45 or a P60 for both employments.

Thanks, one of them was just a couple of weeks work so I presume I'll get a p45 and p60 from him and my main employer would be a p60. Does a p45 usually have a problems trying to get tax back?

Sorry for asking the obvious but I'm only a student and never got a p45 before so not too sure on how it works with a p60.

When you finish up with someone they should issue you a P45. If they do there is no need for them to issue you a P60 subsequently.

you should only get the one really. alot of employers don't issue P45s to students if they think the student might return again in the same year (happens regularly). If you get the P45 from that employer when he's doing the year end returns, you won't get the P60.
