    Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy 2 acres of agricultural land in co. wicklow and put a caravan on it to live temporarily, I was thinking of buying 250 tonnes of gravel to make a 75m driveway and 600m2 patch to store the caravan, boat on trailer, atv's and a truck on.

    Is this allowed without planning?

I think county councils require planning permission for a temporary structure like a caravan/mobile home. I would recommend that you enquire about that situation first before you consider purchasing the land let alone buying gravel/stone.

Correct they changed the law on this some years back.
You can now only keep a caravan or mobile home beside an existing house or in a caravan park.
Seek permission or risk being forced to remove it.
I think there was too many people using it as a step to getting planning for a house where ever they wanted.
If it's an agricultural holding and you want to keep an eye on sheep being worried by dogs etc.
Then ring planning office and seek advice

You'll be using an agricultural entrance for private use. If there was ever an accident there weither you're involved or not, you could be held liable. Tell your insurance company what you're doing.
There should be no issue putting a "farm" roadway across your land.
