Gardai Pulled up beside me tonight when I was parked in an industrial estate. They asked for my license and I gave them my provisional. They went back to the car to see If I had insurance, nct and tax. He let me go but said move out of here there could be workers driving out.

Can I be done as he didnt say I was, He just said I wouldn't be getting fined(sorry I'm paranoid), Can I be done in the post for this.

    Appreciate your advice

You say you were parked, but you didn't just land there. That's to say you must've drove there to actually be there.

Most people I know would've learned some aspects of their driving in an Industrial Estate.
My thinking though is that a worker saw this 'suspect' vehicle at an unusual hour and phoned the local station in event of a possible potential crime.

They have their heads screwed on. They knew by your reaction the above not the case so asked you to move out of there, telling you workers could be leaving (so workers were there).

My guess would be you're okay in this instance.
You could always call into your local station and ask for the Guard is question or explain the situation to whom-ever arrives to the hatch and ask them. Get their name also.

    Hope that helps,

It doesn't really matter if you were parked, you were in charge of the vehicle.

Do you think I should ring them(the station) and ask to speak to the officer?

    No, why?

Just leave it and put it down to experience.

No they have left you off this time. Your a very lucky person though, with no L signs and no driver.
