Hi all , thinking of purchasing the 25 bundle with hr and cadence as an upgrade to my current basic halfords unit , I'm guessing it will help a beginner like me keep within a hr level that will benefit my cycles and cadence to help with economical use of energy would that be correct?
Also where is the best place to purchase same.
    Thx in advance.

They can certainly help you work on your cadence if its not right already, and Strava is a great tool to upload rides to and monitor your progress as you get faster over your regular segments. Its usually well worth the investment.

It's not the same but I use a Garmin forerunner 10 for running, and I'm very disappointed with the quality of the GPS receiver. Not nearly as good as any of the smartphones I've used with Strava.

The Garmin 25 can use both GPS and GLONASS, which should mean its much quicker at getting a lock as well as being much better all round with location accuracy.

Good to know, acquiring the satellite takes astonishingly long with the 10. 2-3 minutes on a cloudy day. Never had to wait more than 30 seconds with any phone (and now with my more recent phones, the GPS is never off)

The phones use AGPS (Assisted) where they use the cellular network and cached cell tower locations to speed up location calculation and acquisition, not something that Garmin's can do. It makes a big difference.
