I hit a pothole in Beamount Hospital and my car suffered a blow out, tyre is ruined. I was going around 40/50kph, only reason I hit it/didn't see it was due to the fact they had clamped a car on the other side of the road which was caused me too look in a WTF moment.

I was going to pay this myself, but the force is really after hurting my wrist and my car I think is damaged its pulling badly to the left.

Is there anything I can do? I mean with ambulances going in and out surely if it done this much damage to me and my car its an absolute hazard.

Try getting in touch with your insurance, maybe you can claim off them if you are comprehensively insured. Very unfortunate incident. Don't tell the insurance about the speed & rubbernecking

you should report the pothole to the hospital. surely would want it fixed for the safety of the pubic.

but you are 100% responsible for the wheel an any damage.
you were going way to fast and weren't paying attention.
if someone had walked out in front of you ,you would be responsible

Surely the speed limit in a hospital is much much lower than the speed you were doing?

Have you got a space saver wheel on now? This might explain it pulling to one side. You may have damaged a wishbone or shock or both or it might just need tracking if you're lucky.

I'd say ambulance drivers would know the grounds inside out and drivers are trained better than most.

I would say the insurance excess would be more than the cost of a tyre.

I understand some people might think that speed is fast put for the road its perfectly fine, its just as you come in from the front, anything after the roundabout at 40/50 you'd be in trouble.

Anyway, its what I thought, nothing much I can do but take the hit literally.

This pothole might have been made worse with the weather at the moment so it is quite worrying.

I understand the rubbernecking post, but seriously this car was parked weird and clamped anyone driving by would have been looking at it.

Just a pitty, no one is held accountable for road conditions they oversee.

And my wrist is killing me !

The speed as soon as you turn into the hospital is 30km max due to the amount of kids walking from the schools in the area and people walking through. Its more than enough considering it's only a short stretch of road.
