    Hi all,

I'm just after purchasing a 320 watt Philips soundbar and subwoofer.

I'm trying to pair it with a 42 inch Toshiba but unfortunately the TV doesn't have the optical port.

So I'd like all items tv, upc, xbox and android tv box running through the sound bar, but I'm limited by ports.

Can anyone suggest an adaptor or setup advice as I'm struggling here.

    Cheers
    Niall

What connections does your soundbar have, does it have multiple HDMI sockets for example?

Yes it has two hdmi ports one is "arc".

Also doing more research here and I do have a digital audio port on tile tv but seems to be a round jack instead of the D shaped optical one.

Would imagine the best thing to get would be a multi HDMI switch that you plug all your boxes into, plug the out into the in of the soundbar, and the HDMI out of the soundbar into the in of the tv.

That said, you've posted in the motoring section of boards so we don't really have a clue about TVs, hopefully a mod will move this thread to the right forum
