    Can you connect wireless earphones and still hear the TVs speakers. I'm deafer than the wife.

    You need a wirless set with an optical input,this will give you two sound sources -one in the internal , one via the optical.

    Be careful though early LCD/Plasmas have the socket but only take the sound from the RF input (cable) not the HDMI
