Importing windows suppliers?

    Hi

    I've gotten a few quotes for sliding db glazed A rated windows here in Ireland but he prices quoted were too high.

    Gotten a quote from the uk more reasonable but would like to explore other options further a field.. Maybe Poland.

    Could anyone pm me suppliers

    Looking for 6'x3' sized windows.

    I'd be very cautious about importing vertical sliders from anywhere other then the 'English speaking world'. Nobody else really uses them and consequently there isn't much expertise at making them in countries that otherwise would make some excellent windows. Not that that stops them trying and as a result I have seen seem awful imports. When they go wrong there is nothing as useless as a vertical slider that is boll*xed, particularly if the supplier is half way across Europe.
    (The Danish manufacturer Vogrum makes a good modern interpretation of the traditional window but you are probably to cheap for it).

    ive seen sliders and folding doors build on the continent that are not at all suitable for irish weather.

    One big issue which tends to pop up again is flat thresholds (no rubber sealing) and inadequate weather strips on the door leafs
