Our recently neutered house dog has come down with bad diarrhoea .might have picked up something in vets. she`s perky so not overly worried . anyone use a homemade electrolyte solution or even a portion of a calf sachet.

Shouldn't be any need for electrolytes Stretch.
Feed cooked rice and she should be fine.

As Dawg said above- Plain food like rice & boiled chicken should help settle the tummy.
I've seen Life-Aid given to a dog by a vet before so it's no harm to them, then again some students also take it after a night out!

I've a sheepdog pup, no where to leave her only work shed, keeps eating cables off appliances grinder etc. Hooked up a fencer to the top bench but don't like doing it even tho it worked.
    Any suggestions?

Exercise and stimulation. A high energy dog like that needs to be walked a lot.

And keep away from too much milk in the milking parlour if getting it. ..
