100hp tractor, currently have a 3 furrow Kv conventional round beam...
thinking of upgrading to a 3 furrow reversible, budget 4k..
    Thoughts or suggestions?
Kv 120 headstock seems to be a definite no no..

Most of the used Irish Kv ploughs are wrecked, you'll spend another 4k easily on replacing metal before you have anything decent. As for the number on the headstock, even 240's have cracks.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

What about Overum or Lemken? What are they like?

I used an overum a long time ago on my 3 months, good plough. Sorry don't know anything about lemken, except that they make nice youtube videos. I use a ransomes 2f rev myself.
Dowdeswell replaced them, might be worth a look as you can still get parts for them through sparex. I only ever see them in ploughing matches though.

    What's your ground like?

big mix of soils, mostly sandy soils no peaty soil. stoney ground is what I am most concerned about, the kv we have deals well with stones. I here a lot of ppl say Kv is over priced but I wouldn't have much experience in different ploughs tbh..
