New golf ordered .. Noticed uk and German forums discussing how they can track their build. Enquired and Dealer said not possible ?

    Anyone know different?

Ask the dealer for your com number. He can check or you can call VW customer care and they will.

Actually don't know, possibly consignment number.

If dealer gives you the build week add 3 weeks on to that and it should be there or thereabouts

Stick the build week up here, chances are I'll have something on order in the same week and will get an ETA for that

I don't know, that's what customer care asked for when I called. Rang the garage and they gave me it, its some sort of reference number for the order.

It's a "comm" number and it stands for commission.

Don't waste your energy is my advice. Been there and bought the T-shirt. If you have the Comm number you can try calling VW customer care but they won't know any more than your dealer does. The car will arrive when it arrives.

I ordered my VW in February and it still hasn't arrived. Dealer doesn't seem to have a clue either.

Getting sick of it at this stage. Is it unusual for it to take this long? It's not a standard spec fair enough but still taking an awful long time.

What kind of VW is it?

Most are built in Europe and there haven't been delays on anything that spring to mind for me - 10-12 weeks for practically every VW I've ordered this year.

Jetta is longer, as they are built in Mexico. I've a 2.0Tdi Highline Jetta with the 161 Tech Pack - ordered 19th Feb and arrived to me last Friday. Sitting unregistered at the moment waiting on 1st July 162 plate.
