While this isnt the first thread like this complaining against dabs, I feel it very necessary to warn ye of my experience.
I purchased a laptop, and while I had to deal with their painful security checks, it was fine. The package was delivered, but there was one error. Instead of putting my full address on the package, they only put "Cork, Ireland". The package literally has no address to be sent to. I contacted dabs about it, who being honest didnt seem that interested at all, and they said they have given my number to UPS, so they will call me so I can give them my address. Its been a full day, and not a peep from UPS or Dabs. I would definitely not recommend them.

Is there a forum somewhere that companies can moan about customers? Honestly, putting Cork, Ireland on a package.

I'm complaining that they got my address wrong in the first place. How could they ship off a 1200 euro product with no name, street name or anything other than the county?
I am aware that it has only been one day, but the product is in cork (It has been for quite a while, according to the tracker). the package is there, ready to be collected, except it has no end address, so the couriers just have to keep it. I have contacted Dabs, and they have done nothing to help.

If you know where it is you could go and collect from the depot if you bring ID and proof of purchase.

Ah come to be fair, any one of you would be pissed off at this situation. €1200 on a laptop that could end up anywhere and company not giving a figs.

How did it end up as address with just Cork, Ireland. Normally the labels are printed automatically from what the customer enters online. So either a silly mistake on customer behalf or something gone wrong which could affect a lot of packages being shipped.

If tracking is working, the OP could go try to claim it with ID etc but even with ID how can the courier be sure it's his package. Best bet for them is to prob send it back to Dabs so they can't be blamed.

    This doesn't add up.

Anyway, the shipping label in the email might not match what is on the actual label. UPS will ring you when they try to deliver it. The same thing has happened to me in the past with an incomplete address.

It has been a day since Dabs said that UPS will call me, the product has been in cork for 3 days.

Give UPS a call yourself. If you have the tracking number, it should be easy enough. Have ID for the driver or if collecting if it helps, but with no name on package I don't see how effective it is. Don't wait for UPS to call you as they could decide to just return to sender to save hassle.
