Hi, has anyone any opinions on timber frame houses? Are they all they are cut out to be?
I am thinking of starting a self build of a one off house in County carlow! And wondering if they were the way to go or if anyone could recommend a company doing them!!

My first house was timber framed. It was a semi-d and quite small.
The heat retention was incredible. If I ever got to build my own house, the plan was to go timber framed but as I live in Kildare and am a blow in, that's not going to happen.

I have used Kevin with Doyson Construction in Ballon for my extension and he was amazing in every way. I have no affiliation to him but would highly recommend him
