    Hey!

So my laptop died before xmas ago and I need to get a replacement up and running for college fairly sharpish.

My budget is fairly tight, 900 euro max. Its gonna need to run a couple of game engines (Unity, Unreal) some other 3D applications and Photoshop. It'd be nice to be able to do some gaming on it too but I know with my budget, anything high end is out.

I'm looking at one on Laptops-direct.ie (cant post link, new user)

    HP Pavilion Gamer 15-ak000na
    Intel Core i5-6300HQ
    8GB RAM
    NVidea GeForce GTX950M 4GB
    15.6 Inch
    Windows 10 Gaming Laptop

it seems to be the best deal I can find for < 1000 euro, graphics card looks good (notebookcheck says Witcher 3 & Fallout 4 (low settings) = 60fps!) but I'm not sure if that processor is up to scratch?

Any opinions on this laptop or suggestions of other ones are much appreciated!

Check out PC Specialist as well. Crazy that a 900 euro laptop could have a 720p screen, the PCS ones are 1080p. That will make a big difference especially with applications like Photoshop.

Processor is OK, fast enough that it's not the bottleneck in games.
