Sorry for all the threads but I like how I get an instant answer on boards! Anyway, does anyone get like smudge under your eyes from mascasa or eyeshadow underneath. When I apply and leave the house I have perfect makeup but sometimes after a few hours it seems like it leeks under my eyes or smudges down. I dunno am I even explaining this properly.

Mascara loves to run down my face... it does not matter what i do, what powder i use, it awlays smudges. I just have to keep an eye on it throughout the day...

Does it happen with all brands you use? Have you tried using a primer?

Nah dont have the patience to fartarse around with primer. Actu i found the Charlotte Tilbury the least smudging mascara i have used recently.

It's weird that its settled for a few hours and then happens.like I'm about to take off my makeup now and its like I have darkness under my eyes. Not like dark circles just very light. Maybe I should be touching up my makeup throughout the day !

Perhaps a wee touch of powder under the eyes during the day. Its what i have to do.

Could you recommend a primer? When I wear eyeshadow it doesn't stay put.I think it's because my skin is quite greasy.

I use MAC Painterly Paintpot as a base eyeshadow. Technically its an eyeshadow but its a matte nude base. Everything sticks to that.

For foundation primer, the Nivea mens aftershave balm is brilliant and cheap... and the 'manly' smells fades very quickly.

The same thing happens me with pretty much every mascara. The only one that doesn't is Clinique Curling High Impact mascara, I've found out since this is because it's a "tubing" mascara. Boots no. 7 do a tubing mascara, it's quite good. Google the term for more info.

I have very oily skin and eyelids and I love the "i love stage" primer by Essence, its less than €5, and its fantastic, it really helps the longevity of my shadows.

Absolutely everything creases on my eyelids but once I use this primer nothing moves an inch.

    Well worth it.

I've used the NARS eye primer which is around €30 I think, and honestly although there's a very slight difference between them, I'd go with Essence every time because its so much cheaper and the slight difference isn't worth the huge price difference in my opinion.

I have a similar problem with mascara smudge sometimes, but it seems to be linked to what i have on my skin. If I have a liquid foundation or BB cream on my mascara is guaranteed to smudge. However, if I use mineral foundation (which I use 90% of the time) or if my skin is bare I don't have any problems. So maybe its not your mascara, but your base?

That's exactly what it is now that I think of it. Il switch things up. Thanks a mill

I used to have this problem - I have Asian eyes and I found this which stopped the problem for me http://freshpatrol.com/tip-tuesday-prevent-your-eyeliner-and-mascara-from-smudging/

I hope it will help you.

I hate mascara as it always smudges but my only attempt with getting my lashes dyed ended up with swollen eyes - allergy Grrr! I've just gotten used to the panda eyes thing... But I got this in a gift pack in Hong Kong and I've been wearing it for two weeks in brown - absolutely spectacular!!!
