    Hi
I just wondering about this, I work a couple of hours on a weekend job and this week received less, because of the bank holidays, christmas day, Stephens day and new years day.

I don't get paid for these days and I didn't work on these days, I also got a signed and stamped work schedule showing the days I work and it adds up to less than forty hours,
Should I still be reducted ? Thanks

Even though you didn't work on these days your employer was still obliged by employment law to pay you 1/5 of your weekly wage on top of your normal weekly wage for each of the public holidays
This applies to each of the 9 public holidays every year
If you work on a public holiday you get double time, or a paid day of
If you don't work normally that day you get the 1/5 extra
If you normally work but were given the day off (premises closed for example) you would be paid as normal
If your employer didn't remunerate you properly then you must take it up with him/her
SW have calculated your entitlement on the grounds that he has
They won't make up the difference
It's nothing to do with them
