    Hi there,

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with our second baby. Our family doctor, whom we have been with for more than 10 years has just informed me that their practice is no longer participating in the Mother & Baby scheme, i.e. free combined pre-natal visits between GP & Obstetrician. I'm very disappointed as we accessed this service through this practice the last time around & we were informed that we could partake this time around too.

Can anyone recommend a warm, caring pre-natal GP in the South City Centre (Dublin), who still participates in this scheme?

    I'd really welcome your recommendations.

    Warm Regjards,
    Karen

Definitely would recommend Gerry Moran on the long mile road, Dublin 12. He has to be the most nicest doctor I have ever met, he took me through my pregnancy with great care

    Hi there!

I'm in D8 & would most definitely recommend Dr Eimear Mallon at http://inchicoredoctors.ie/
She specialises in women's health & ultrasound. And she will scan you when you pop in (if the visit it outside the remit of the combined care, it's only €35 for a scan)

Most of your visits will be with their Practice Midwife, Margaret O'Connor, who is a wonderful nurse. She's also a lactation consultant was a huge help to me after last pregnancy.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks a million girls, for those recommendations. They both sound great, but I'm really looking for someone central. We live in Newbridge & work in the south city centre, so it's either Newbridge for a Sat appointment (which is proving difficult), or v central so I can pop out from work.
